Can a Chapel be a Prayer....

We just recently went for a day trip to Eureka Springs. A very close friend recommended that we stop at Thorncrown Chapel, just outside of Eureka Springs and we thank him for this advice.
Nestled in a woodland setting, Thorncrown Chapel rises forty-eight feet into the Ozark sky. The chapel's simple design and the majestic beauty make it to one of the finest religious spaces of modern times.
It is very hard to describe this magnificent chapel and images cannot fully capture the spiritual space it creates.

The architecture creates one body with nature.

The Cross outside of the chapel becomes fully integrated into the architecture as if the Cross appears to be just floating into and through our lives.

Structures give us anchor points to experience the presence of God.

Thorncrown Chapel is not only an award winning example of contemporary architecture, it is a prayer made out of wood and glass.
